Message of Chairman
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell is dedicated to unlock students’ potential. We
sincerely design and execute various activities to equip students with future-ready skills,
foster an innovative mindset and provide the foundational support to transform their ideas
into impactful ventures.
We encourage every student to engage with our workshops, networking events and
incubation programs. This is a platform to learn, experiment and grow. Let’s build a vibrant
ecosystem of creators and leaders together.
Vision
To foster an ecosystem in university that nurtures innovation, skill and risk-taking ability
among students and turn them into visionary entrepreneurs, driving innovation and
sustainable economic development.
Mission
To ignite and nurture the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation within the student
community by providing robust mentoring, industry-aligned skill development,
comprehensive incubation support, and strong industry-academia networks to successfully
launch and scale ventures and careers.
Objectives
- Promote entrepreneurship as a career choice among students.
- Support innovative ideas, provide pre-incubation and incubation facilities for start-ups.
- Facilitate access to funding, government schemes and venture capital.
- Integrate entrepreneurship education into the curriculum.
- Strengthen women and social entrepreneurship initiatives.

Patron (PAHER University President): Provides strategic guidelines to the cell and ensures integration with the university's overall mission and resources.

Industry Networking Department
Role & Function: To act as the primary interface between the university and the industry.
This department is responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with companies, alumni entrepreneurs, investors and trade bodies to facilitate mentorship, live projects and internships for aspiring entrepreneurs and up-skill students.
Key Activities
- Corporate Association: Identify and develop long-term association with local, regional, national and multinational companies across various sectors.
- Mentorship Pool Creation: Curate a network of industry experts, successful alumni and business leaders to serve as mentors for students who aspire to become entrepreneurs.
- Industry Lecture Series: Organize regular talks and panel discussions with business founders, industry experts and professionals to provide real-world insights.
- Industry Visits: Arrange visits to industries for students and prospective entrepreneurs.
- Live Project Hub: Source and allocate industry-defined problems and live projects for student teams to work on, providing practical experience.
- Internship Drive: Facilitate internship opportunities for aspiring entrepreneur students.
- Investor Connect: Build a database of Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists and organize networking events.
- Advisory Council Formation: Assist in constituting an industry-led advisory council to guide the ESDC's strategy and ensure market relevance.
- Develop Association with Govt. Agencies & Commerce Forum: Invite officials to enlighten students about prevailing schemes, subsidies, promotion and support.
Training & Capacity Building Department
Role & Function: To design and deliver a structured learning pathway that equips students
with essential entrepreneurial mindsets, future-ready skills and functional knowledge required
to succeed in the corporate world or as founders.
Key Activities
- Workshops: Conduct regular workshops on critical topics like Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, Digital Marketing, Financial Literacy and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Certification Programs: Offer certified programs in high-demand areas (e.g., Data Analytics, AI Fundamentals, UX/UI Design, Advanced Excel) in collaboration with MSME/ NSDC/ industry partners or online platforms.
- Bootcamps & Hackathons: Organize intensive hackathons, business plan competitions, and case study challenges to foster problem-solving and innovation under pressure.
- Soft Skills Training: Provide training in communication, leadership, teamwork, negotiation, and public speaking.
- Prototype Development Assistance: Provide technical support to help students build their first Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or prototype.
- Train-the-Trainer Programs: Empower student champions and club members to become peer trainers and leaders within the ecosystem.
- Resource Library: Develop and maintain a digital repository of learning materials, project reports, video lectures and case studies for self-paced learning.
Incubation & Start-Up Support Department
Role & Function: To provide end-to-end support for student and alumni-led start-ups, from
idea validation to launch and scaling. This includes offering physical infrastructure, seed
funding, legal aid and dedicated mentorship.
Key Activities
- Ideation Workshops: Host sessions specifically designed to help students generate, validate and refine business ideas.
- Incubation Application & Selection: Manage a transparent, multi-stage selection process (application, screening, pitching) to onboard the most promising start-ups into the incubation program.
- Dedicated Mentorship: Assign each incubated start-up a lead mentor and provide structured mentorship sessions throughout their incubation journey.
- Incubation Infrastructure: Manage and provide access to co-working spaces, meeting rooms, high-speed internet, prototyping labs and other essential facilities.
- Seed Funding Support: Administer a seed fund grant and facilitate connections to angel investors and government start-up schemes (like DPIIT, Start up India).
- Legal & IP Advisory: Offer pro-bono or subsidized legal consultancy for company registration, term sheet review and filing patents/trademarks.
Advisory Council
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) is guided by a distinguished Advisory Council,
comprising visionaries and practitioners from the forefront of industry and innovation.
This council is integral to ensuring the Cell's initiatives remain relevant, impactful and
aligned with the dynamic realities of the global business landscape.
Composition & Expertise
- Industry Experts: Senior executives and leaders who provide insights into market trends, future skills and corporate governance.
- First-Generation Entrepreneurs: Inspirational founders who share invaluable practical experience on the challenges and triumphs of building a venture from the ground.
- Start-up Founders: Dynamic innovators currently navigating the start-up ecosystem, offering fresh, real-time perspectives on operational hurdles and opportunities.
- Alumni Entrepreneurs: Successful graduates who embody the university's spirit and provide a relatable pathway for current students.
- Bankers & Investors: Professionals from venture capital, angel investing and banking who offer critical guidance on financial strategy, fundraising and fiscal sustainability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review and validate the training programs for market relevance.
- Offer high-level mentorship to our most promising incubated start-ups.
- Facilitate critical connections to industry, investment and global networks.
- Act as brand ambassadors, enhancing the credibility and reach of the ESDC.
The council ensures our ecosystem is robust, forward-thinking and effectively bridges
the gap between academic concepts and real-world execution.
Resource Mobilization
- Funding from university budget allocations
- Grants from AICTE, DST, MSME, Start Up India and other agencies
- Industry sponsorship and CSR funds
- Nominal fee-based training programmes
Policy Guidelines
- University will facilitate leave/ academic flexibility for student entrepreneurs/ start-ups.
- Priority will be given to start-ups promoting sustainability, social innovation, renewable energy, healthcare and employment generation.
- Start-ups incubated under EDC must comply with ethical and legal standards.
